Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday urged the teachers to make students learners, not examinees.
He came up with this remark at a freshers’ reception arranged for the students of college section of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College.
The minister urged all to keep away from those politicians who are out to resort to ill political practices.
“Politics is now being infected by formalin as a section of political opportunists is trying to persuade politics recklessly . . . You have to reject them,” he told.
Quader, also Awami League general secretary, likened some politicians to city transports as the transport workers try to deceive passengers in the name of providing seating services, reports BSS.
Replying to a query, he said the two letters of Chief Justice SK Sinha will be discussed in the joint-meeting of Awami League central executive committee and advisory council.
“Law Minister Anisul Huq has been also asked to attend the meeting . . . Party’s opinion will be made public officially,” the AL general secretary added.
About the private coaching business in educational institutions, Quader called upon teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College not to tarnish the image of this institution.
